For today only, Carowinds amusement park located on the border of North and South Carolina, is offering a one-day ticket for only $29.99. Tickets are valid August 9 – September 1, 2014.

This represents a savings of $28 off the gate price, and is the same deal that was just offered for the Cedar Fair Christmas in July sale.

Carowinds is a sister park to Cedar Point, and there is a massive amount of investment being put into the park. Starting in 2014 and continuing thru 2016, Cedar Fair will invest $50-million into the park. Improvements include a $30-million giga coaster, a $2.5-million water slide, a $7-million food complex, and $4 million to improve the park’s ticket booths and front areas.

This is a great time to be enjoying the Cedar Fair parks, with massive amounts of money being poured in to give guests a best day experience.
