Smithsonian Free Museum Day September 24, 2011

We love free museum days, even it means having to travel for a day trip to get there. It is a great way to get out and see and experience new places. Of course the biggest benefit is providing our children with terrific opportunities to learn and grow. This year, on Saturday, September 24, 2011, the Smithsonian is offering free admission to various museums across the country.

To register, go to the Smithsonian promotion page to register. Upon completion of the form, they will email you two tickets to print and bring with you on the day of admission.

There is a HUGE list of available museums. Make sure to sign up early as there is a good chance some of the more popular ones might be sold out already. With one month to go, there is still plenty of time to plan your trip accordingly.

If you signed up for one of these museums, please let me know, as I would love to hear your experience.

As a reminder, there are several other programs that sponsor free museums. You can read about them in my posts on Bank of America and Target.
