Existing VISA Signature card holders can head over to the Hilton HHonors website and register for this promotion. You will receive Gold Status for free until 8/31/2011. If you stay three times before the end of August, you will receive gold status until March 2013.

If you are already a gold member, you will receive 5,000 free points.

I was able to use my United Airlines VISA to register for the promotion. We have not been staying at Hilton brand properties as much over the past year, so we lost our status, but this will at least temporarily bump us back up. Plus we have two scheduled Hilton stays this summer on our way out to Cape Cod.
