Save $25 Off Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

While my kids are still to young to enjoy haunted houses, my little cousins who are half my age always really enjoyed scary movies and haunted houses, even from a really young age. So several times I gathered them all up and took them to see a haunted house, and we all really had a fun time.

When I happen to be checking out the My Coke Rewards Wednesday deal today, I happen to stumble across a deal for discount tickets to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. The weird thing is Coke apparently must have very little to do with this offer, because when clicking on the details, it took us to the Universal site, and the program is being sponsored by Carl’s Jr.

A couple things to note.

1) The tickets are valid at Universal Studios Hollywood.
2) The discount depends on which day you choose for the promotion. I assume the $25 discount was for days that have already passed, because the best discount I could find was for $21 off tickets purchased for Oct. 31, which is the last day.

Read to Succeed Six Flags Free Tickets for Students

I have been mentioning some pretty great offers lately on tickets to Six Flags parks around the country. Those include my articles on the 2012 Season Pass Ticket Discounts and the now expired MyCokeRewards Wednesday deal for discounted point tickets. However, here is an excellent opportunity to not only encourage your children to learn and read, but then reward them with a fun day at a Six Flags Amusement Park.

The program is called Read to Succeed and is sponsored by Discovery Education. Starting this October, the program will begin for the 2011-12 school year, and is for K-6 grade students. Details of the program have yet to be released, but we can speculate some information based off last years details.

The program works that every student who reads for six (6) extra-curricular hours will receive a free ticket to a participating Six Flags park. The list of parks changes each year, so stay tuned for more information. The tickets look like they will be good for the entire 2012 season.

This is actually really smart marketing on behalf of Six Flags. Think about it. Give away a free child ticket, means the parents still need to come. Therefore, at least 1-2 additional adult tickets will get bought, not to mention any money spent in the park. It is a win-win for both the amusement park, as well as the parents.

I will be watching this offer as the details are released shortly. Stay tuned for more detailed information.

MyCokeRewards.com Cheap Six Flags One-Day Adult Tickets

Today’s Wednesday deal on MyCokeRewards.com is for an one-day adult ticket to a Six Flags theme park. Typically, these tickets go for 1,000 points, but for today only, they have reduced them to only 250 points.

The value of My Coke Rewards points can vary greatly, so it is hard to place a good value on this redemption. However, considering you collect the points, they are almost free if you are collecting them drinking what you love anyways. I would say this is as good of a time as ever to redeem them if you have any interest in going to Six Flags.
