Save $7 Off Legoland Admission and Other Discounts

Legoland has really hit the road running with all their various ticket promotions on the heels of the grand opening of the Florida project this Saturday, October 15, 2011. In the past we have shared some great details on the following promotion:

AAA Discounts
– Pepsi Free Child Ticket with the Purchase of an Adult
– As well as the Lego Club magazines often have discount coupons in each of them.

Another promotion that has popped up is on local gallon containers of TG Lee milk. On the back of specially marked containers is a coupon for $7 off the price of a one-day admission ticket. The great thing though is that you can get this discount online by going to legoland.com/tglee and providing promotional code 11090602. This promotion code could save a family of four (4) $28. However, assuming you have some children to take along with you, the better offer might be the Pepsi promotion I mentioned above. The Pepsi promo is for a free child ticket with each adult ticket, which is a substantially larger savings. Just remember to break up your orders into multiples as the discount only applies to one ticket.

VIP Free Admission

If you are VIP member, you will get free admission to Legoland Florida or California Oct. 24-30, plus $10 off the price of admission for up to six friends. Details can be seen in the below attachment.

Legoland VIP Coupon Oct2011

Two-Day Passes

Without any discounts, a single-day ticket to Legoland will cost you $65 for an adult. The Best of Orlando currently has 2-day tickets available for $70 for an adult, $62 for a child.

Again, run the numbers with the various discounts above to see what scenario works out best for your family.

Updates 10/26/11

Publix

Local Publix stores are carrying $50 admission gift cards that need to be purchased directly at the store.

Effective Oct. 14, 2011, Legoland increased the price of tickets by $10 each.

Mystic Seaport Free Admission November 5, 2011

When we visited the east coast earlier this year, one of the highlights from the trip was our visit to the Mystic Seaport. In addition to being a good replication of a historic seaport, the food was surprisingly amazing. Our family loved the area and there was plenty to see and do for kids.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the CHARLES W. MORGAN in Mystic, we will offer free admission all day Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. There will be special MORGAN-related activities and demonstrations and a ceremony marking the occasion at 1 pm.

When we visited the Mystic Seaport back in June 2011, we spent $42 for two adult tickets after our AAA discount. Our kids are still really young, and were luckily free. However, the free day could save your family a substantial amount of money.

As a reminder if you are looking for discounts to the Mystic Seaport on any other day, I recommend Liking them on Facebook, because they have a well maintained coupon page with various offers each month. Currently, the Mystic Seaport fan page offers a 10% discount for the month of October.

Six Flags Read to Succeed 2011-2012 Program Open

I wrote about the Six Flags Read to Succeed program a couple of weeks ago. The details for the 2011-2012 program have now been released and is open for registration.

  1. Head to this Six Flags/Discovery Education page for all of the details.
  2. Kids in grades K-6 need to read 6 hours of recreational, non-school work reading.
  3. Each student will then receive a free ticket to a participating Six Flags amusement park.
  4. Teachers are allowed to participate in this promotion by registering your class, and if you have 10 or more students, the teacher will also receive a free ticket.
  5. All of your reading hours need to be submitted by March 1, 2012 at 5pm Eastern Standard Time.
  6. This is HUGE…parents can now purchase tickets…at the kids price. Just enter promotional code “RTS” when ordering your tickets online at sixflags.com.
  7. You will chose the theme park you wish to attend during the registration process.
  8. Tickets will be pre-printed with select dates that you will be able to visit the park. Unfortunately, it does not look like there is information for each available park details online.
  9. The following Six Flags locations are taking place in the 2011-12 Read to Succeed program.

Six Flags America, Baltimore, Maryland/Washington, DC
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Vallejo, California
Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio, Texas
Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey
Six Flags Great America, Chicago, Illinois
Six Flags Magic Mountain, Los Angeles, California
Six Flags New England, Springfield, Massachusetts
Six Flags Over Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia
Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, Texas
Six Flags St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri
The Great Escape, Lake George, New York

Overall, this is a pretty easy score for a free child’s ticket, and pair that with the adult tickets at the kid’s ticket price, this could be a substantial savings for your family.
