Costco New Member Bonus on Living Social

Our family has learned to love Costco clubs, which did not come easily. Several years ago we found ourselves buying a Costco membership, and now we happen to live very close to one in the area. While there were items we were purchasing cheaper in the wholesale club, because we were buying in bulk, I always found myself having a hiccup whenever the total bill rang up more than $200 every visit.

Costco’s success stems from the fact that they barely mark anything up in the store and make all of their money from the fee to join. In addition, they offer excellent products all the time and their customer service and return policy are the best in the industry.

Visit on the weekends, and the kids will love all the free samples throughout the store.

Today, our family almost exclusively fills up on gas at Costco, in addition to purchasing many staples from around our house including paper products, meats, dog food, vitamins, baby formula, and lots of other specialty food items you may not find again in the store. We love being able to grab premade dinner that can be thrown in the freezer, and in a pinch have something to feed our growing family (three boys consume a lot of food).

So I am excited to announce that today, Living Social has announced a special deal on the purchase of a new Costco membership.

Costco Wholesale Deal ($104.47 value) includes:
– $55 for a 1-year Gold Star Membership
– $20 Costco Cash Card and bonus coupons (a $29.47 value), good for a free apple pie, a free rotisserie chicken, and a free Kirkland Signature™ case of bath tissue.
– Valid for new members for their first year of membership only.

This is an excellent value, and in essence means you are only paying $5 for your first year on membership.

We purchase the Costco rotisserie chickens all the time, even to use for making fresh soup or chicken salads. The bath tissue is a premium quality product and not the cheap single ply junk you find in any public bathroom.

Do note, Costco only accepts American Express credit cards, in addition to cash, check, or debit cards. To take advantage of purchasing gas, you will only be able to use an AMEX.

As a personal Costco consumer, we find excellent value in what they offer, and end up saving enough money on gas alone to make the membership a viable option for our family.

Offer expires September 15, 2014. Due to overwhelming success, the Living Social deal for Costco has been extended until 11:59 p.m. PT September 16, 2014.

– Promo codes do not apply to this deal.
– Valid for new customers only.
– Offer valid at U.S. Costco locations only. Not valid in Puerto Rico.
