Save $100 Off Your Disney Vacation + Other Discounts with Chase
Interested in saving $100 off the price of your Disney tickets? Everyone knows the price of taking a family to any of the Disney Parks can really add up. On top of it, there are not to many discounts available on Disney vacations. So the Disney card by Chase may just be one of the easiest ways to save money on your Disney dreams.
The Disney Premier Visa card by Chase offers the following benefits:
- Get a $100 statement credit after first use.
- Earn 2% in reward dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations. Earn 1% on all your other card purchases.
- Redeem toward Disney treats at home and on vacation, such as Theme Park tickets, hotel stays, DVDs, toys and more
- Enjoy the flexibility to redeem toward airline tickets on any airline to any destination, anytime
- Save 10% off on select merchandise purchases of $50 or more at DisneyStore.com and Disney Store locations
- Disney Theme Park Perks including a Character Meet ‘N’ Greet at our private Cardmember locations
- Save with 0% promo APR financing for 6 months anytime you use your card to book select Disney vacation packages, after that a variable 14.24%.
- Choose from 8 Premier-only card designs including Sorcerer Mickey, Tink, Mickey and Minnie, Spotlight, Enchanted Castle, Cars, Princess, or Mickey & Pals.
I particularly like that at Disney theme parks, by using the Disney Premier Visa, guests receive 10% off on select merchandise purchases of $50 or more at select locations at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort; 20% off the non-discounted price of select guided tours at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort; and 10% off select dining locations at the Disneyland Resort. The discounts offered from this card easily can offset the $49 annual fee.
You should also be aware that there is a no fee version of the Disney card available at the link on the bottom of the page available here. The downside is the card only comes with a $50 new account bonus instead of the $100 one via the Premier card. In addition, the no fee version only earns 1% back versus the 1/2% of the Premier.
One aspect of the Disney Premier Visa that has me the most intrigued in the flexibility to use the card towards flights. The official terms state,
Reward dollars may be redeemed for a statement credit towards airline ticket purchases made with your Disney’s Premier Visa Credit Card within 60 days before the redemption request date, where permitted by law. Reward dollars cannot be redeemed for an airline statement credit using a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. Redemptions start at 50 reward dollars for a $50 airline statement credit toward tickets on any airline to any destination. Each additional reward dollar is redeemable for a $1 statement credit. Subsequent purchases after redemption must meet the $50 minimum to qualify for a subsequent airline statement credit redemption. Airline statement credits will post to the card account within 5-7 business days of a request to redeem and will appear on the monthly Chase credit card billing statement within 1-2 billing cycles. Until the credit posts, we recommend you pay the full amount of the airline ticket charge on your credit card bill to avoid finance charges. Disney and Chase reserve the right to determine which Disney’s Premier Visa Card purchases qualify for an airline statement credit.
If you have any experience using the flight feature, please let us know how it worked out.
