When we visited the east coast earlier this year, one of the highlights from the trip was our visit to the Mystic Seaport. In addition to being a good replication of a historic seaport, the food was surprisingly amazing. Our family loved the area and there was plenty to see and do for kids.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the CHARLES W. MORGAN in Mystic, we will offer free admission all day Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. There will be special MORGAN-related activities and demonstrations and a ceremony marking the occasion at 1 pm.
When we visited the Mystic Seaport back in June 2011, we spent $42 for two adult tickets after our AAA discount. Our kids are still really young, and were luckily free. However, the free day could save your family a substantial amount of money.
As a reminder if you are looking for discounts to the Mystic Seaport on any other day, I recommend Liking them on Facebook, because they have a well maintained coupon page with various offers each month. Currently, the Mystic Seaport fan page offers a 10% discount for the month of October.
