We received a couple of banking cards in the mail this week welcoming us to our neighborhood that I felt were worthy of sharing.
PNC $100 for New Checking Accounts
It appears the same deal is available on the PNC website, but my offer is valid a little longer than their offer.
First, get $75 when you open a new Virtual Wallet Performance or other select new PNC Personal Checking Account with qualifying direct deposit and make purchases with your PNC Bank Visa® Check Card.*
Second, get another $25 when you pay your bills through Online Bill Pay.*
Keep in mind though it looks like there are some pretty hefty requirements to avoid monthly fees.
$10 monthly service charge waived when you meet ONE of the following requirements:
Total qualifying direct deposits3 of $2,000 or greater per statement cycle
OR
$1,500 average monthly balance in the Spend and Reserve Accounts combined
OR
$10,000 combined average monthly balance4 in checking, savings, money market, investments, installment loans, lines of credit and mortgage
Key Bank iPod Nano for New Checking Account
I could not find any information that this deal is still going on Nationally on the Key website. Therefore, when you are going through the application process, you need to make sure you mention offer code NMPF0811. Offer is valid until 10/21/11, and you must open a Key Express, Key Advantage, Key Coverage, Key Privilege, or Key Privilege Select checking account AND make at least five posted payments and/or purchases per month for three months PLUS within three months make a total of 3 direct deposits each of $500 or more.
Note, the value of the gift will be reported on Form 1099-INT. The iPod Nano will be shipped within 90 days of meeting requirements.
Offer not valid for individuals that have opened a Key Bank checking account within the past 12 months.
Overall, neither offer really has me that moved, but feel free to use these promotions to your advantage.
Seems like requirements are too much on these considering the bonus is only $100
