Audience Rewards Sail Across the Sun Promotion

You already know InACents as the leading resource online for information about the Audience Rewards program, and how we help you earn free airlines miles and points in various programs. Answer some simple trivia questions about Broadway shows approximately every 10 days, and you keep your accounts active and from expiring, as well as building your balances. Eventually, we hope you earn enough to travel somewhere for free.

Typically, I do not get too excited about contests, because lets face it, winning is like the lottery, only with better odds. However, I grew up believing in contests because occasionally, we have won something, and the payoff can sometimes be great.

Today we saw Audience Rewards post that they have partnered with Live Nation, and they are inviting you to Sail Across the Sun with the band Train! One grand prize winner will win a 4-night luxury cruise to Grand Cayman with the band, plus 100,000 frequent flyer miles!

  1. Thanks Justin, just entered the contest! What do you think about entering the contest with each of my separate audience rewards accounts?

    1. Chester: I debated this one too, but opted for the conservative side and only entered once for both my wife and I. I would hate to actually win, and then AR for some reason void the reward because of multiple entries. Do so at your own risk.

  2. Does anyone know if you actually have to pick up theater tickets and use them to get the points through Audience Rewards or can I buy them and not use them and still get Skymiles?

    Thanks!

    1. @Bradley: Typically, once the tickets are purchased, you should receive the points/miles regardless of whether you actually go or not. This became a big problem years ago when the US Airways Grand Slam promotion was going on. Lots of people purchased tickets just for the sake of earning points (to earn a bonus hit), yet did not show up for the event. The problem was it created lots of shows with low audience and lots of people waiting outside to buy tickets that were sold. It was a logistical nightmare for the shows.

In addition, buying tickets for the sake of earning miles/points with AR rarely, if ever is beneficial due to the high cost associated with having to purchase the premium seats.

If you go this route, please let us know your results.
