Update: This offer is no longer available.
My wife and I are huge proponents of books and reading to our kids. Our almost two-year old son loves getting read to right before bed, and once our newborn gets older, we will continue the practice with him. Reading calms our son down and lets him explore his imagination before bed. I have to admit, I get just as excited as him when he makes the tough choices everyday of which of the hundred or so children books he wants us to read to him. It is a very enjoyable bonding time with your child, and we interact with our son by engaging him in the story.
So any chance to get free books is worth exploring. Scholastic and Kumon have teamed up to offer up to five free books for completing some simple worksheets. Simply go to this link and follow these instructions.
STEP 1 Download and print the READING and/or MATH
activity sheet(s) for your child’s age group.STEP 2 Have your child complete the activities for his or her age

the READING activity sheet (or both)! Children can earn two
books by completing one activity sheet and five books by
completing two activity sheets.
