Coca-Cola Summer Travel Promotions

Our family collects My Coke Rewards, not because we are big pop/soda drinkers, but more because of the benefits we have experienced because of the program. The couple points we have earned here and there has gotten us countless free movie tickets, jackets, gift cards, and most recently free trips to Cedar Fair amusement parks which we will use at Cedar Point and Kings Island this summer.

As part of a new summer promotion, Coca-Cola has created a new site, Coke Summer, which offers all kinds of exclusive discounts and offers that are not available on the traditional My Coke Rewards site.

If you enter in the following codes, you will unlock new exclusive content.

PASSTHECOKE (unlocks Meals code)
SUMMERFUN (unlocks Entertainment code)
IMOUTTAHERE (unlocks Outdoor code)
RWETHEREYET (unlocks Travel code)
PLAYBALL (unlocks Sports code)
GRABATOWEL (unlocks Waves code)
SUMMER (free Sweeps and Instant Wins entry)

While there are only a few offers at the moment, I am excited to see some of the new offerings this summer. Let’s take a quick look at what is currently available.

Expedia Infographic Happiness

Traveling Leads to a Healthy Marriage

Expedia released an interesting infograph last week, looking at the impact that travel has on marriages. I should have known long ago when dating my wife how important travel would be in our lives. As I was dating my wife, we traveled around to see various things. Then when we got married, I knew I had married the right girl when our table settings were defined by our travel destinations (Mr. and Mrs X, you are seated at the Niagara Falls table).

Now that we are married and with three young boys, getting out of the house and onto an adventure, even if it is to the local zoo or museum plays a vital role in all our happiness together. The boys thrive on travel, as do the Mrs. and I.

So it is refreshing to see others that have been surveyed feel the same way.

Expedia Infographic Happiness

While I think it is ultimately important for families to get out and travel together, I also strongly agree that vacations help one to be more productive and feel refreshed at work. While I am one that will never be happy with my current job no matter how much I travel, 47% of people liked their jobs more after traveling.

How important do you rank travel with your happiness?

Cedar Point

Free Cedar Point Tickets for Blood Donation

American Red Cross

Cedar Point

I have always taken for granted Cedar Point, since we live so close, and growing up visited about every year. Do not get me wrong that I loved living near the roller coaster capital of the world, and in my younger days enjoyed throwing my body into turmoil for the sake of a short lived thrill. However, as I grew older, I sometimes lost interest in returning to The Point. I guess that is also why everytime my wife brings up that we should live closer to Disney World, I kind of cringe at the idea of living close enough to any park that one grows blasé to the entertainment they provide.

This summer we will again be returning to Cedar Point, thanks to the “free” tickets we scored with My Coke Rewards. If I had not gotten our free tickets already, I may have considered donating some blood this summer in return for a free ticket to Cedar Point.

Cedar Point has graciously donated tickets to the Red Cross to help get the younger audience to donate blood during the busy summer months. Donors will receive one (1) free Cedar Point Amusement Park ticket ($54.99 value) and a coupon book.
