Today the free points page updated with the current information, and this time increased the bonus to 500 free points!

You are supposed to watch one of the below videos, and following it will redirect you to enter your information for the free points.

However, the trick is that guests can go directly to the page to get your free points without having the watch the videos.

Our family has had the pleasure in staying in two separate La Quinta properties in the past year or so, including a recent visit to Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and nice. They offered a pool and breakfast, and the point redemptions worked for our family.

Update 2/12/15- The links are alive again to earn another free 300 points. The points should post instantly to your account. Valid February 12, 2015 through March 31, 2015.

Watch your choice of several videos and earning 300 La Quinta points. Even though the video URLs are all different, they all take you to the same promotional form. Therefore, you are only allowed to earn the reward once, as I received the following message “Bonus Already Paid” when trying to redeem again.

Provided one has no interest in acquiring La Quinta points to use towards free hotel stays, the rewards can be converted via Points.com at the following ratios.

300 La Quinta points will get you…

– 49 Aeroplan miles
– 73 Asia Miles
– 45 Life Miles
– 68 Hawaiian Miles
– 49 Iceland Air miles
– 34 JetBlue miles
– 31 Virgin America miles

While the miles will not get you a free flight outright, they are good for converting points to miles to extend any account expiration.
