NATIONAL TRAIN DAY – This Saturday, May 10, 2014, marks the annual National Train Day event, created by Amtrak. First started in 2008, the event not only celebrates the train industry, but also the anniversary of the golden spike being installed, connecting the transcontinental railroad across the United States.
Locations all across the country will have special exhibits and events to celebrate our railroad heritage.
Visit the official National Train Day website to find a participating location near you.
