The mobile app taxi service called Uber announced this week that they are extending service into Cleveland. Users who install the mobile app on their smartphones will be able to call up a “taxi” and determine the price and level of service (i.e. vehicle type) before the transportation even arrives. The difference between a standard taxi service and Uber drivers is you will be able to see a picture of your driver, their vehicle, and track their location to pick you up. Uber drivers also are not typical taxi drivers, but regular people offering up their own vehicles to transport you around town.

Also, using the mobile app, no money exchanges hands. You simply store a credit card on file with Uber, and your card is automatically charged when using the service.
