The start of 2014 is just around the corner, which means Discover Card 5% cashback bonus. The first quarter of 2014 (January 1-March 31, 2014) means Discover Card holders will earn 5% cashback bonus at restaurants and movies.

Card holders will need to access their account online or call in and register your card(s) for the promotion. The 5% cashback bonus can be earned on up to $1,500 spend for the quarter, meaning you will get paid $75 to do what you are already doing.

Terms:

*Sign up to earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $1,500 in purchases made on movies and at restaurants from 1/1/14 (or the date on which you sign up, whichever is later) through 3/31/14. Movie ticket and movie rental purchases are those made at merchants classified as movie theaters, video rental stores, and online movie ticket and movie rental services. Restaurant purchases are those made at merchants classified as full-service restaurants, cafes, cafeterias and fast food locations. Purchases made at warehouse clubs, wholesale distributors, and discount stores are not eligible. Purchases made using Near Field Communication (NFC), virtual wallets, or similar technology may not be eligible. Rewards are added to your Cashback Bonus account within 2 billing periods. This means in addition to your normal dining practices, even little purchases such as renting a movie from RedBox appear to qualify for the Discover Card 5% cashback bonus.
