For today’s post, I would like to take a step back into the archives to August 1989. These are a fine example of one of the old format of ticketing to Walt Disney World. At the time, there was only three parks, the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and the newly opened Disney-MGM Studios.
The 1989 Passport ticket was similar to the park hopper tickets that we have today.
The 1989 5-Day Passport ticket cost $112. In 1989, the opening year of Disney-MGM Studios, the price of admission was $29.
I find it interesting that my grandparents were at WDW at the end of July/beginning of August in 1989, yet were back again towards the end of August per the date stamps on these tickets. I wonder if it possibly was my aunt’s traveling separately from my grandparents.

Is there any value in these tickets today?
