In addition to being able to earn 5% cashback on all Department Store and online purchases during October to December 2012 (on up to $1,500 in purchases), the Discover More Card is offering 2% cashback on all purchases made on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Discover Miles cardholders can earn double miles on purchases made the same day.

This means one could potentially double dip and earn 7% cashback (Discover More) on those purchases categorizing under Department Stores or any online purchases. Discover Miles members could earn quadruple miles if they paid their phone, TV, or internet bills on October 6. However, note all purchases must post to your account on 10/6/12, making the double dipping with the Miles card more difficult and subject to the utility companies billing methods.

One must register for both promotions prior to making any purchases.

Sign up to earn Double Cashback/Miles on any purchases made on 10/6/12. These purchases do not count toward annual purchases to determine your tier level.
