Does these points extend the SPG points expiration date? For example, I have earned points on my stay on 5/1/2011, and earned points on these rewards questions today. Does all my old points expire on 11/1/2012 or expire on 8/21/2013(18 months from today)? If this does not extend my SPG points, how could I keep my points from expiring? Thanks

@WB: The official Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) Terms and Conditions state:

You will be considered an “Active Member” so long as (a) your Membership has not been cancelled (by you or us), and (b) you have had an Eligible Stay at a Participating Property within the previous 12 months, or (c) you have earned Starpoints by using a Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card during the previous 12 months. Starpoints resulting from transfers or earnings from Program affiliates do not count toward active status.

However, in talking with an agent of SPG, they told me account expiration is 18 months with any of the above points earned (hotel stay or credit card earn). In addition, they looked at my account in particular and stated the expiration is 15 months from my last activity, which was Audience Rewards.

In reality, I am not sure how much I would trust what the agent told me versus what is actually stated in SPG’s terms. You can always extend your account expiration by dining at an SPG property if you do not plan to stay. If you simply walk in and order a drink from the bar, give them your SPG account number, and that will credit you any eligible points, and extend your expiration date.

      Again from the terms:

You may also earn Starpoints for food and beverage charges of US$10 or more in Participating Properties’ restaurants even if you are not a registered guest, when you present your Membership card; however, these earnings will not count as an Eligible Stay or Eligible Night towards elite levels of Membership or for threshold bonuses and promotions.

So I don’t see the last question:
(20 points) Which actress starred in the title role in Mary Poppins in London and New York? Scarlett Strallen

After I answer the Phantom question I get “Thanks for playing”

Where is the 20 point bonus question?

    • InACents says:

@Shannon: The 20-point questions are first come, first serve. Audience Rewards only gives the first so many people the 20-point questions, and once they are given out, they are gone for that particular week. Typically, you have to get up very early on the day the questions are released to be able to see the 20-point question. If you do not see, you can assume they are gone for that round.
