Credit goes to my father for notifying me of this deal. First, I knew Florida was going to be getting a LegoLand, but never remembered to look up the information until now. According to the LegoLand Florida website, the park is scheduled to open on October 15, 2011, although the exact date could change.
The theme park will be located approximately 45 minutes southwest of the Disney Theme Parks. The park was formerly known as Cypress Gardens and was purchased by the LegoLand parent company in 2010 to be turned into the LegoLand Florida project.
The Florida project will be an exciting venture as our boys grow older and inevitably get more interest in the Lego brand. I still have all of my and my sister’s Lego sets from when we were kids, still in the original boxes, and look forward to being able to eventually let our kids play with them when they are old enough. In addition, we will surely be going back to Orlando and the Disney theme parks in the future, so both LegoLand and Universal will add some variability as we grow older.
Apparently it looks like a deal for purchasing of early tickets to the Florida project recently ended in April 2011. I will have to keep an eye out for other discounts. Speaking of discounts, there is a pretty good deal going on right now for the LegoLand California theme park.
110707 Legoland Coupon
If you are a member of the Lego Club Magazine, which is free to sign up, they include a coupon for a free child ticket to Legoland California with each full-priced adult ticket purchase.
Please note, the scan of the coupon I have attached to this post more than likely will not work and is shown only for reference. You will need to provide an original coupon at the gate for each admission ticket you wish to purchase.
I ordered an adult ticket with the free child’s ticket yesterday and it hasn’t shown up on my email for me to print. I entered the code and gave my credit card number for the purchase. Please check on this. Thanks
@Dan: The coupon referenced above is only for use at the gate. It states right on it, not valid towards online orders. You must present an original copy to the ticketing office to receive the offer.
