I received an email last week for the American Express ID Protect program. They are currently offering 5,000 Delta SkyMiles for enrollment in the AMEX ID Protect program, which costs $9.99/month.

Basically, the ID Protect program is just an identity protection program to protect your accounts from being accessed by outsiders. There are tons of similar products out there, but one backed by AMEX should be pretty reputable. However, even though we are not AMEX card holders, I love that this program is fully cancellable at any time, and there is no minimum to receive the miles.

Therefore, if one signs up a new account, and pays for the first month, and cancels, you will net 5,000 miles at a cost of only $0.002. It is an excellent value and well worth ones time.

We have three Delta SkyMiles accounts; I have two and my wife has one, so I will probably only be able to take advantage of this once for each of us.
