2014 National Park Week + Free Admission
2014 NATIONAL PARK WEEK – National Park Week is April 19-27, 2014. The event is meant to encourage people to get out and enjoy their National Parks, with special activities planned for the entire week.
For the third event this year, on opening weekend, Saturday and Sunday (April 19 to 20), every national park will give you free admission! (Who decided to plan this over Easter?)
Earth Day is April 22, offering guests the opportunity to help on various park projects throughout the country. Link: Volunteer information
On April 26, National Junior Ranger Day, parks will invite young visitors to “explore, learn, protect” and be sworn in as junior rangers.
In addition, National Park Week has teamed up with Disney to promote their next Nature series film, Bears. See “Bears” during opening week, April 18-24, and Disneynature will make a donation on your behalf to the National Park Foundation to protect wildlife & wild places!
This is an excellent opportunity to explore some of our countries park services. Which will you be visiting?
