Last year we missed out on our chance to apply for the White House Easter Egg roll. Tickets are awarded via a lottery, and this year there is a very small window of opportunity to apply, Thursday, February 21, 2013 (10:00 AM EST) until Monday, February 25, 2013 (10:00 AM EST).
You can submit your lottery request via Recreation.gov. If you already have an account, you just sign in, choose the amount of tickets you will need, and select your preferred time slots. If you do not already have an account with recreation.gov, we recommend you do because you can purchase your tickets to places like Pearl Harbor and other Federal sites.
This years event takes place on Monday, April 1, 2013, and again their are five different time slots. Our boys are at the perfect age (3 and 2) to partake in Easter egg hunts/rolls. I think this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get the chance to do, and our kids are only at the ideal age for a very limited time.
Regardless of your political affiliation and viewpoints, you have to admit it would be cool to experience a historic White House Easter Egg roll. If you win tickets to this years event, let us know in the comments below. Good luck!
