Living in northern Ohio, our family is fortunate enough to not only live near the best roller coaster park in the world, Cedar Point, but also the largest indoor waterpark in the world, Kalahari Resort, named one of Family Fun magazines 2013 top 10 family resorts.

In the past, our family has typically gotten invited to a friend’s, family members holiday function, getting us a pretty good discount off the cost of rooms. However, it looks like last year was the last year, so we will not be going this year.

While expensive, the biggest cost advantage comes when you reserve a room at Kalahari, and your waterpark passes are then included in the rate. Staying in a room also is a big advantage because guests can then come back to their room and dry off, change, and relax. Plus, our family typically split the cost of a suite with another family, giving us a kitchen and the chance to make our own meals.

However, for some families, they may just want to spend the day at Kalahari Resorts.

Typical day passes for non-guests are $46 (adult) and $35 (kids under 42″ tall) at Kalahari Sandusky, Ohio; $37 per person at Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Waterpark; and $29.95 (adult), $11.95 (kids ages 3-6) at Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Themepark. In Conclusion

While it is unfortunate there are so many blackout date restrictions on the use of these tickets, a family can save a significant amount of money on a trip to a Kalahari Resort with some simple planning and taking advantage of the Black Friday sale.
