CEDAR POINT WENDY’S – A friend alerted me yesterday morning that Cleveland and surrounding area Wendy’s restaurants locations have a Cedar Point discount on the drink cups.
After purchasing the cup at Wendy’s, take it to Cedar Point and save $12 off the cost of one-day admission. Valid only Sunday-Friday. Not valid Saturdays or with any other coupon or discount offer. Cannot be used on Junior, Senior, or multi-day tickets.
Only one cup per ticket purchased. Valid only through September 1, 2014.
Is the Wendy’s Cup promotion a deal?
A standard day ticket to Cedar Point is $59.99. However, there are often significant discounts to get you into the park for cheaper.
For example, just by purchasing your tickets online at least three days in advance, you can get them for $44.99. Cedar Point is currently promoting their Ride & Refresh ticket, which for $49.99 gets you admission to the park plus an all day drink wristband.
So the Wendy’s drink cup will drop the price to $47.99.
The thing to realize is that online orders on Cedar Point’s website come with a Processing Fee. $4.99 for 1-2 tickets, $6.99 for 3-4 tickets, and $9.99 for 5-10 tickets. This fee adds to the price, making the Wendy’s cup the least expensive option.
The above comparison also does not account for discounted tickets that are available for hotel guests. If staying at a Cedar Point hotel, guests can purchase discounted tickets for only $39.
For standard guests, I would be more tempted to purchase at least one of the ride and refresh tickets, as an all-day drink wristband can be very value for keeping a family hydrated. With several Coca-Cola Freestyle locations scattered around the park, this means you not only have access to soda, but unlimited combinations of flavored waters and Powerades. Typically, an all day drink cup is $9.99 when purchased online, making the Ride & Refresh ticket promotion a nice savings.
