Royal Caribbean Kids Sail Free & Autism Friendly Ships

Cruise lines are anxious to get families back on board their ships for 2014. A couple weeks ago Norwegian offered a kids sail free promotion. Similarly, Royal Caribbean is offering where the third and fourth guests in a room sail free.

The promotion is valid for bookings on Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean, and Europe itineraries departing between May 1 – Dec 15, 2014, excluding Grandeur of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas. All reservations must take place prior to March 31, 2014.

Autism Friendly Cruise Line

It was also recently reported that Royal Caribbean was granted as the first Autism Friendly Cruise line from Autism on the Seas. All the Royal Caribbean ships have been awarded the bronze level of certification. It should be noted that the founding member of the Autism on the Seas foundation works indirectly with Royal Caribbean, so the certification may be a little biased.

Regardless, the certification means the ships and staff have been specifically trained to work with autistic people and make their cruise just as enjoyable as everyone else.
