This summer, Kinds Island, located in Mason, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati) will open a record-breaking new roller coaster, the Banshee. The ride, which will be the first female themed ride at all of the Cedar Fair amusement parks, will offer guests the world’s longest inverted roller coaster. In total, guests will experience seven inversions on over 4,100 feet of track.
For guests who would like an early chance to ride the Banshee, there is a good charity promotion that will take place on April 17, 2014. Guests who register and can raise a minimum of $100 for the Greater Cincinnati chapter of A Kid Again, will get the chance to be one of the first riders on the Banshee.
Guests who meet the qualifying requirements will get to ride the Banshee from 9-11 PM on April 17. In addition, guests will receive:
·Complimentary admission tickets to Kings Island
·Certificate of participation
·Scream for A Kid Again t-shirt
·Food
·Plaques will be awarded to the top five fundraisers
Frankly, I am not sure anyone could raise enough money to convince me personally to ride the Banshee. However, for those whose bodies can stand the torment of constant inversions, this is an excellent opportunity for guests to gain early access to the ride with minimal wait times.
